Join us on this must-see tour of Chicago’s “Cultural Mile” and historic hotels that are deeply rooted in Chicago’s history and stories.
Most visitors to Chicago are well aware of the city’s “Magnificent Mile” on Michigan Avenue, north of the River, but so few are aware of the amazing exposition that runs south of the River! The “Culture Mile” is ablaze right now with many new hot spots including Remington’s, the Chicago Athletic Hotel, Cindy’s, Shake Shack, 7 Lions, and the newly-renovated Chicago Motor Club. Add these to the abundant number of attractions (The Gage, Art Institute, Symphony Center, Fine Arts Building, etc.) that are already present and you will find the “Cultural Mile” commensurate in every way with its shopping-mecca “Sister” to the north.
The historic Chicago tour begins at the Corner Bakery – 360 North Michigan Avenue – next to London House Hotel at 1 p.m. every Thursday (Saturday availabilities offered throughout the year). The Chicago culture tour proceeds south down Michigan Avenue and ends at the Chicago Hilton Towers – 720 South Michigan. Learn about and visit some of the following along the tour route:
