Chicago River Walk Tours

"What makes Chicago unlike any other City in the World”?

Come explore the city's Second Lakefront, the Chicago River Walk! After obtaining a $100 million Federal loan, the City has greatly expanded the River Walk with six new "Rooms"!

The River Walk now spans from Lake Shore Drive to Lake Street and contains lush new green spaces, cafes and retail spaces including many places to sit back and relax or get a bite to eat or drink.

Come learn what makes Chicago one of the most unique cities in the world and the vital role the River played in the emergence of Chicago as the great Metropolis of the Midwest.

View the iconic buildings located along the river while hearing riveting tales of the stories behind the buildings. Our tour guides thoughtfully reveal the stories about these structures and the fascinating characters that once occupied them. As we like to say, every building in Chicago has its own story!

Some of the buildings discussed include; Wrigley, Tribune, Aqua, Aon Center, London Guarantee & Accident, Mather Tower, Trump Tower, Jewelers, Carbide & Carbon, Willis Tower, John Hancock and Intercontinental Hotel.

Our stories offered so much more than just simply who was the architect and what is the building's architectural style.

Trivia challenge with prizes and restroom break on all of our tours.

Plus - guests enjoy a short boat ride along the Chicago River during the tour while they view the city's incredible skyline!

The city of Chicago owes its existence to the River and the River Walk owes its existence to the city! Come and learn the vital role the river played in the emergence of Chicago as the true great Metropolis of the Midwest. Unlike the architectural boat cruises, our tour guides thoughtfully reveal the stories behind the buildings themselves not its architectural style and they focus on the colorful characters that once occupied them. As we often say, “Every building in Chicago has its own story”!

“Great Walking Tour!!”

"I've lived in the Chicago area my whole life and and have done other tours before but this was by far the Best. Our Tour guide Dan was knowledgeable about city, engaging and welcoming. His passion about the city of Chicago didn't make the tour feel like a tour, it was more like stepping in a time machine and getting a glimpse of what made Chicago a great city. Highly recommend it to anyone from Chicago or not from Chicago for a great experience."

“A Highlight of Our Chicago Stay!”

"What a nice surprise to take two walking tours with this company this summer. The first was a "River Walk Tour" with Sharon and it was delightful! The 2nd was a "River Walk and Boat Tour" with Daniel and it was so interesting. I am a former resident of IL and learned so many new things about the great city of Chicago. Both guides were enthusiastic and knowledgeable about the old history and new changes of this amazing city. We were truly entertained and had such a good time! I look forward to returning for more tours next summer. See you in 2015 with more friends!"
